Friends of Edmands Park, Inc.

Friends of Edmands Park, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

This shady 33-acre park is situated near the BC campus in Newton, MA. Originally part of the Edmands estate, the property was donated to the city in 1913. It features natural unpaved pathways and is almost completely forested.

Winter Pollinator Planting

We have planted 25 native plant species for initiating a pollinator garden. Our local pollinators such as bees and insects need to reproduce and thrive in Newton. We will plant the initial garden close to the north Blake Street entrance. Look for further information on this site and at Edmands Park. To participate email: friendsofedmands@gmail.com

Our organization’s mission is to organize and support the maintenance, preservation, enhancement and improvement of Edmands Park. We also aim to promote safety, cleanliness, and functionality within the park while maintaining its current use.
